remember me

Hi! Remember me? To be honest, I feel like I don't remember myself. I first created this spot to document my life, wedding planning, and the little adventures of my life; I wanted a place that my (future) children could visit and get a glimpse of how their Momma and Daddy used to be...a place that wasn't Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or one of the obnoxious social media sites that flood our daily lives. When I say "I don't remember myself" I mean that I feel as if I'm getting older. I'm getting older in the sense that little things that mattered a lot a year ago, don't quite mean the same to me now. Making sense?? This blog falls into that category, little things. So I think this is where my lack of inspiration is coming from; the fact that I don't know if writing here is worth the time.I love the idea of documenting my life so that I have something to look back on, so I will hopefully continue posting.Who knows, maybe I just have writer's block. So, after that little mind vomit I will leave you with some pictures that have given me inspiration.

Mountain Trip: Round Two, plus snow

a group of us traveled to Sugar Mountain, North Carolina Presidents' Day weekend; we picked a great weekend to go because it ended up snowing pretty much the whole time! this was my second time skiing and after a couple of runs down the mountain, i'd like to say that i picked it up and was doing pretty well. i only fell twice the whole trip; once when getting out of the car, i slipped on ice & landed on my hip (i still have a gnarly bruise on my thigh) & the other time i fell, i took T down with me. it happened right below the ski-lift, so everyone riding probably had a pretty big laugh at the two of us. i accidentally skied into T while trying to stop and somehow our skis got interlocked. this resulted in me turned backwards with my bum in the air screaming at T to somehow stop us. we ended up falling in a tangled mess & i didn't have my gloves on so my hands were freezing. we even attracted the Ski Patrol who came over to make sure we were OK! looking back i crack up when i think of the show we provided for everyone on the mountain.

here's the few pictures i took on the trip:

one word

ok, so here goes another one of my rants about a television show.
you've probably already realized that i'm ob-sessed with certain TV shows.
well here's another show that should be added to your watch list, DVR, TiVo, etc.
one word,

 // Nashville //

just go watch it, i promise it won't disappoint!
Connie Britton is ah-MAZING & who wouldn't want to watch
Hayden Pane strut her stuff in 5-inch heels and mini-skirts?!?
plus, they sing all their own songs!

believe me, you will be opening your iTunes app and downloading every song on the show.
just trust me ;)

sorry for the annoying sound in the background

02.10.2013 // pup's first beach day

Sunday morning began like this:
Chief woke up at the crack of dawn before the sun ever began to shine.

side note // Chief & I now have a morning routine,
he wakes up at 5 AM, we go potty & then back to bed, well at least i go back to bed.
the minute i get back to the bedroom after morning potty,
i shove a Nylabone in his mouth & that normally gives me about thirty more minutes of sleep.
Nylabones are to dogs, as pacifiers are to babies.

Chief woke T up around 7 AM & i'm so thankful that T quietly took the dogs and allowed me to sleep.
around 9 AM, i get woken up by T saying that he & Pierce were taking the dogs to the beach.
i was instantly awake. there was no way i was missing this monumental day!
 Chief's first time at the beach!

we packed up the 4 Runner and headed to the beach.
the first trip ended with the beach patrol telling us the puppies were not allowed on the beach without a leash.
// seriously, whatever //

we ended up at Atlantic Beach.
we definitely were a sight to be seen; we had four dogs in tow & everyone stopped us to pet the little monsters.
the puppies immediately followed the big dogs into the water &
 i was very surprised to find out that they were not the least bit scared of the water.
they played in the small waves & watched the big dogs as they retrieved a buoy, over & over again.

the day ended when we noticed the puppies shivering in the chilly water,
even then though, they still did not want to leave the big dogs' sides.
we played on the beach for awhile to dry everyone off & then headed back to the car.

like i said before, we were a spectacle to everyone we passed, until...
as we walked pass One Ocean hotel a bunch of rather tall, muscular girls were loading onto a bus;
the girls saw the puppies and right away asked to take pictures with them.
being friendly & knowing how much girls love puppies,
i handed Chief over to be passed around to have his photo taken.
that is when i heard T, under his breath, telling me to get a picture with the girls.
but, why??
ohhhh, the light bulb went on & i realized it was...
the USA Girls' Soccer Team!
they had played a game against Scotland the day before & won 4-1, how exciting!

now i bet your wondering about the pictures we took with the USA Girls' Soccer team??
...well i had a little case of stage fright when put on the spot by T & chickened out...
yeah, i'm pretty lame.
but my sweet, fluffy-faced puppy is not; somewhere out there is a picture of Chief & the girls' soccer team.
